Dutton Park detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred at South Brisbane yesterday evening (October 28).
Initial investigations indicate at about 8.45pm, two young women on Browning Street were approached by another two women who attempted to instigate a confrontation with them.
The two young women were assaulted and pulled to the ground prior to having a mobile phone taken from them.
The two offending women then fled the scene of foot with the phone.
A man who witnessed the incident followed the two offending women and retrieved the phone, returning it to the women who were earlier assaulted.
The young women received minor injuries only.
Investigations are continuing.
