Trauma teddies
Recently, the Griffith University Lions Club donated 40 Trauma Teddies to the officers and staff from Upper Mount Gravatt Station.
The wonderful group of ladies from the Lions Club are a small and enthusiastic team of knitters who donate their valuable time to give back to the community.
Other groups to receive the trauma teddies include local Meals on Wheels agencies, nursing homes, and victim support shelters across the South Brisbane District.
Senior Sergeant Andrew Dupere, Officer in Charge of Upper Mount Gravatt said it was great to see such passion for the community, in the group of talented locals.
“These teddies are an invaluable resource used to help officers to break down barriers when interacting with young children facing challenges and trauma,” Senior Sergeant Dupere said.
