On Thursday, November 29, police from Sunnybank Shopfront, Police Liaison Officers and members from Policelink, setup a pop up table inside the Sunnybank Plaza Shopping Centre.
Officers approached shoppers and businesses in the centre to discuss their concerns in the area.
Police took the time to remind shoppers to ensure their homes and vehicles are secured at all times and to be aware of their own personal safety.
You may have seen a high visibility police presence around South Brisbane lately, this is due to Operation Wake Up. This operation will focus on reducing road fatalities on South Brisbane District roads.
In light of this, officers tested shoppers about the road rules using the Road Rules Refresher Quiz. This is a timely reminder, to check that you know the road rules every twelve months.
