Attempted armed robbery, Annerley

Detectives are investigating after an attempted armed robbery in Annerley this afternoon.
At around 3:20pm a woman was sitting in her car on Denham street when she was approached by a man.
The man produced a knife and demanded the woman’s car. He attempted to drive the vehicle but fled the scene on foot when he was unable to start the car.
The woman was not physically injured during the attempted robbery.
The man is described as African in appearance, approximately 170cm tall and of a medium build and was last seen wearing dark coloured pants and a hooded jumper.
He was last seen running along Denham street before turning into Florence Street.
