Yesterday, South Brisbane District launched Operation Wake Up, which is designed to create a visible police presence in and around South Brisbane District roads to promote positive driving behaviour and address road fatalities within the District.
As part of this operation, the Mount Gravatt and Riverside Crime Prevention Unit volunteers and police are hitting school zones around our policing district over the coming weeks in our ‘Pace Car’.
This passive enforcement activity is designed specifically for school zones to encourage drivers to reduce their speed and be cognisant of the 40km/hr speed limit during school times.
Keep posted for more activities associated with Operation Wake Up.
