Officers towered by The Great Khali

Today, officers from the QPS had the opportunity to catch up with wrestling royalty when they were towered by the impressive, The Great Khali, the world famous, Indian-born wrestler.
Inspector Michael Dowdy, Sergeant Jim Bellos and Police Liaison Officer Ricky Lashland, are all big supporters of the Indian community through their work in the QPS Cross Cultural Liaison Unit.
Measuring in at over two meters in height and just over 150kg, Dalip stood tall amongst the officers who admit to being fans of the wrestling champion.

Before making his wrestling debut in 2000, the Great Khali was an Indian Police Officer from the State of Punjab and said he still feels a special kinship with his brothers and sisters in uniform.
The team was surprised to hear that he’s still enlisted in the Punjabi Police Service and holds the rank of Inspector.
