At present offenders are committing what police called “sneak” breaks in the area. This means offenders are entering homes through insecure windows and doors. Some of the entry was gained by removing fly screens or cut a hole to a mesh to unlock the door. Most break-ins occurred at night or early in the morning while residents were asleep or not home. Police urge residents to re-assess their home and vehicle security before going to bed or leaving the house. Here are some tips to help you:
Always lock and secure your windows, doors and garage and your vehicle even whilst at home, including your internal doors between the garage and house.
Make sure that your garage door is always fully closed and locked before leaving the garage. If you can easily open or lift your garage door from outside without keys or a garage remote, please contact your
