Officers from West End Station recently made sure students, parents and staff of the West End State Primary School got to school safely on the morning of National Walk to School Safely Day, on May 17.
A dreary and wet start to the day did not deter students, who walked happily with raincoats on and umbrellas in hand, while being accompanied by a number of police officers from West End Station.
Principal Kim McNamara said it was great to have the support of police and gave the students and parents an opportunity to continue to build a positive relationship with their local police officers.
