Update: Manslaughter charge following fatal traffic crash at Burbank in 2016

Officers from the Forensic Crash Unit investigating a traffic crash which claimed the life of an 80-year-old Thornlands man on May 21, 2016 at Burbank have charged a man with manslaughter.
The 32-year-old Moorooka man, allegedly driving the truck at the time of the incident, is scheduled to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow, June 23, 2017.

Fatal traffic crash, Burbank
Police are investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred last night at Burbank.
Initial investigations suggest that at around 8.45pm, a truck was travelling on Mount Cotton Road when a piece of metal attached to the truck’s trailer struck a car that was travelling in the opposite direction.
The car then left the road and came to rest down an embankment.
The driver of the car, an 80-year-old man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
