Update: Fatal traffic crash, Rochedale

A man has died following a two-vehicle traffic crash on the Gateway Motorway at Rochedale this morning.
Around 4.20am, a hatchback and a utility collided in the northbound lanes of the motorway near the Mount Gravatt Capalaba Road exit.
A 61-year-old man and a 63-year-old woman who were travelling in the hatchback were transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with serious injuries.
The 61-year-old Maroochydore man, who was a passenger in the vehicle, subsequently passed away in hospital this morning.
A 29-year-old Fortitude Valley man, who was the driver and sole occupant of the utility, was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with minor injuries.
Northbound lanes of the Gateway Motorway were closed to traffic for more than three hours as a result of the crash but have since reopened.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating, and appealing to anyone who may have relevant dashcam footage or who may have witnessed the crash to contact police.
