In the past week there has been a series of unlawful entries to vehicles in and around Creek Street, Cannon Hill.
The majority of vehicles were parked in community car parks. Valuable items have been visible through the windows and proven such a temptation that the offenders have been willing to take the risk to smash windows to get to the items.
Property targeted includes: keys, cash and wallets (containing identification cards).
A further number of vehicles were unlawfully entered in Morningside, Murarrie and Bulimba. Vehicles have been parked in driveways, streets and public carparks and once again, windows have been smashed to gain entry.
Property items targeted here include: laptops, clothing, jewellery, tools and bags.
Remember, when leaving your vehicle unattended:
Always lock your vehicle, including the boot and sunroof and remember to fully close the windows;
Remove or place out of sight, all valuable and personal documents;
