As many motorist and residents would know, South Brisbane District Police have been out in numbers over the last few months targeting motorists who are not obeying the road rules and disregarding the Fatal Five.
Operation Wake Up launched on November 13, 2018 and officers have undertaken a number of proactive traffic enforcement operations within South Brisbane District.
The operation also had a educational component, delivered through a variety of community engagement events like Coffee with a Cop.
The following results are a comparison between January 2018 and January 2019.

Whilst fatalities remained the same between both months, there were 77 less injury traffic crashes, which South Brisbane Police were proud to see.
