On Saturday, September 29, police arrested two women after they allegedly committed a series of shop stealing offences in several major shopping centres.
It will be alleged the women stole approximately $20,000 of medium to high end women’s clothing in the shopping centres.
Investigations to date have established offenders fly into South East Queensland from interstate, hire rental vehicles and travel to large retail outlets typically in SE Queensland and steal large quantities of women’s clothing over a very short period.
The offenders then fly back interstate. These offenders were highly organised, targeted, well planned and the offenders are suspected of being part of a larger interstate based syndicate targeting retails outlets.
A 48-year-old Marrickville woman has been charged with nine counts of enter premises and commit indictable offence and one count of unlawful possession of suspected stolen property.
