A large number of South Brisbane police officers and administrative staff have rolled up their sleeves to generously donate blood and plasma to help those in need.
A total of 37 QPS officers and staff from the Mount Gravatt Patrol Group and neighbouring patrol groups went along to the Red Cross Blood Donation Centre in Springwood yesterday (August 4) to take part in the Emergency Service Blood Donation Challenge 2020.
Among the team were eight new donors who got out of their comfort zones to join the challenge.
With just a slight pinch, the team from QPS South Brisbane donated enough blood and plasma to provide more than 100 life saving treatments for sick and injured people.
The majority of officers and staff also signed up to the Australian Bone Marrow Donor Registry.
