Now in its 23rd year, the three-day festival showed no signs of slowing down, with approximately 250,000 people in attendance hitting the cultural precinct over labour day long-weekend.
Officers from across the Queensland Police Service used this chance to engage with scores of visitors, artists, vendors, stallholders and people from all walks of life.
In turn, the community had the chance to meet Mounted Police, the Police Pipes and Drums band, Road Policing Unit, Crime Prevention Unit, Recruiting Unit, Police Liaison Officers, Volunteers in Police, and over twenty new recruits, who were all on hand to provide attendees a safe and welcoming atmosphere.
Day one welcomed hundreds of students and the QPS distributed dozens of show bags containing a range of ThinkUKnow, cyber safety and road
