Police are advising residents to remain vigilant and to ensure they implement a thorough security plan that includes locking doors and windows.
Throughout the patrol area there have been instances of offenders climbing apartment buildings balconies and entering through unlocked doors and windows.
Many victims have either been asleep or at home during this time.
Once inside offenders are stealing easy to conceal items such as wallets, handbags, phones, laptops, iPads, cash and jewellery. It is not uncommon for offenders to steal car keys and car.
To stay safe and protect yourself, your family and your property please remember to complete the following:
Key locked all the doors and security screens – including those on the balcony or veranda; and
Hide your valuables in less obvious places.
Police have also received numbers of break and enter offences to secure car park areas within apartment complexes.
When exiting and entering the carpark, police encourage residents to wait on the
