Police from the South Brisbane Crime Prevention office recently hosted a morning tea to say thank you to our Volunteers in Policing (ViPs) whilst also highlighting the important work they do.
By hosting this morning tea, we were able to demonstrate the value of volunteering and the support volunteers provide by working together to tackle big issues and create a positive workplace.
Our morning tea coincided with National Volunteer Week which is an annual celebration of the fantastic contribution millions of volunteers make each year, across Australia.
This years theme for National Volunteer Week is ‘making a world of difference’ which represents the profound impact of volunteers in their communities and society as a whole.
South Brisbane ViPs are invaluable to police and to their communities and offer a range of skills whilst assisting police to reduce crime.
