A 19-year-old man was assaulted and robbed at Sunnybank Hills on Sunday night, July 23.
The teen caught a train to Banoon Railway Station arriving around 8.40pm, exiting the station and walking through the park to Jackson Road.
At the intersection of Jackson Road and Stirling Street the man was approached by three males, with one of them punching him in the face causing him to fall to the ground where he was punched and kicked about the face and upper body.
The trio then fled with the man’s mobile phone and walking to Banoon Railway Station with two of the males boarding the 9.06pm Beenleigh train.
The third male was last seen walking west along Dyson Avenue before entering the car park of the railway station.
