Police have received reports of a number of tools being stolen in the Carina area recently and are urging residents to ensure their property is secured; particularly those with trade tools and toolboxes.
Recent reports indicate that offenders are breaking into vehicles and removing tools and toolboxes. Some tools are quite expensive to replace and effect the owners working capability and capacity greatly.
Police are urging residents to remove valuables from their vehicles and ensure vehicles are secured.
Ensure toolboxes are secured to vehicles and where possible, removed when not in use.
Consider recording serial numbers of your tools and other valuable items and take photos of them. This can greatly assist police to identify your property.
Consider engraving or marking your tools which makes them less attractive to thieves and increases the likelihood of you being reunited with them.
