On Saturday May 11, the three arms of Emergency Services battled it out through 5kms of beautiful parkland in Wishart.
The annual Emergency Services Parkrun saw over 450 people attend and take park in what is becoming a healthy tradition amongst the Queensland Police Service, Queensland Ambulance Service and Queensland Fire and Emergency Services.
Ultimately, it was the police who had first service across the line and taking the trophy.
Whilst the ambos brought the best spirit of the day and won that trophy (which may have been accidentally broken by an unknown police officer prior to being awarded).
The police rounded out the day with winning the ‘most in attendance’ trophy.
Members of the public enjoyed the free sausage sizzle thanks to Councillor Steven Huang before climbing through the fire engine, ambulances and police cars to see how they operate.
