Participants of the CIQ and law enforcement football challenge
Yesterday saw QPS members join Islamic leaders and AFP officers for a football match to help celebrate the third anniversary of the Bosnian Islamic Centre.
The tournament formed part of the celebrations for the centre’s anniversary in addition to a community luncheon which saw Commissioner Ian Stewart present the winning team with the trophy.
Congratulations to Council of Imams Queensland (CIQ) team who were the winners with a score 5-2 over our QPS team in the grand final.
The event was embraced by everyone, with positive feedback received about the wonderful atmosphere to the day, the mix of sport, creating a great vibe and a sense of goodwill.
We look forward to the community event and football challenge next year where we might be able to take out the win.
