Police give back to senior citizens at community seminar

Representatives from the South Brisbane Police District’s Police Liaison Unit had the privilege of addressing the well respected members of the Indian Senior Citizens Association of Brisbane at a recent forum at the Runcorn Heights State High School.
Topics of the presentation included identifying and contacting police, personal safety, suspect identification, home and vehicle safety, traffic accident management and fraud and scam awareness.
Community groups such as the Indian Senior Citizens Association of Brisbane regularly encourage their members to attend such sessions to better understand how things work across this great State.
In the words of the the Russian playwright Anton Chekhov “Wisdom.. comes not from age, but from education and learning”. If your community would like to receive a free seminar by our Police Liaison family, simply send your request via email to the particular Police Liaison Officer or the South Brisbane District Cross Cultural Liaison Officer Sergeant Jim Bellos at
