Police deliver Cops Care Teddies to Queensland Children’s Hospital

Today, officers from around Brisbane arrived at the Queensland Children’s Hospital with a cuddly surprise for children receiving medical treatment.
Over 200 teddies were hand knitted and donated by local craft groups to gift to children who are currently receiving care at the hospital and were then specially delivered by local police officers.

Today, 11 festive officers arrived at the hospital with Christmas hats and were met with much excitement from the unsuspecting children, who were offered the care teddies and are free to take them home once they feel better.
The Cops Care Teddies initiative is a project that helps children experience the joy of a teddy during a difficult time in their lives.

The project is now in its second year and all started when a community member donated hand knitted teddies to Capalaba Police Station.
