Morningside Police and Toby, the Morningside Police Station mascot, got a good work out at the Morningside Picnic in the Park last weekend.
The event was organised with Morningside 3 Neighbourhood Watch and attracted a great turn out of mums and dads with their young kids.
The event raised funds for our local Scouts group and provided a great day out for all! Toby’s adventure started with Dave, one of our local all rounder police with a ride on one of our Brisbane Water Police speed boats!
Toby got to see the sights just like our water police do every day in our Brisbane River and coastal areas. Dave was an excellent driver and could be looking for a career as a water police officer.
Toby then got a talk with the kids from our local Dive Squad officers and helped with the presentation from Diver Dan, getting an ‘up close and personal’ view
