Police attend Milpera State High School exit ceremony

Representatives from the Queensland Police Service (QPS) were honoured to once again, present at the recent Milpera State High School Exit Ceremony for graduating students.

As part of the ceremony, students presented several performances including cultural dances, pop ballads and poetry.
Sergeant Jim Bellos, the Cross Cultural Liaison Officer for the South Brisbane District, presented the QPS Peace Awards to students that have demonstrated respect, courtesy, kindness, cooperation, harmony and compassion to their peers and the wider community.
This term, two outstanding individuals were recognised as the recipient of the QPS peace shield –  Jeremie Mwandu and Francesco Schiavello.
Sergeant Bellos remarked on the Service’s long association with Milpera and how his own family have been involved with the iconic school.
He also teased details of several upcoming sporting initiatives in 2020 where Milpera will be involved.
