PLOs ‘in it together’ across the Bayside

Bayside Police Liaison Officers recently took part in a special community health campaign with the Yulu Burri Ba Clinic (Yulu-Burri-Ba) in Wynnum to promote wellbeing and safety.
Yulu-Burri-Ba provides primary health care and associated health services to the Aboriginal community of North Stradbroke Island and Brisbane’s Eastern suburbs.
Yulu-Burri-Ba also offer social and mental health services, before and after school clubs, healthy eating and social activities for local youth.

The clinic’s team of 60 staff make sure every effort is made to deliver innovative ways of working with the community to improve the health outcomes of Aboriginal families and work closely with Police Liaison Officers based in the Bayside area on a regular basis.
Senior Police Liaison Officer Jacqui Carter-O’Leary and Police Liaison Officer Tameka Johnson can be seen in the video supporting their colleagues from the centre in promoting community health and safety during this current period of restrictions and social distancing.
