Paul Ziebarth Memorial Community Shield 2018

The inaugural Paul Ziebarth Memorial Community Shield was held on Wednesday October 31 at the El Salvador Soccer Club, Yeronga.
The initiative was forged in the loving memory of the late Superintendent Paul Ziebarth, one of Queensland Police’s finest officers who worked tirelessly towards achieving a united community for everyone and ensuring ongoing education for the youth of today.
The shield epitomises the QPS commitment to respect, fairness and inclusion for all people  across our great State.
A number of local schools with large Cultural and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) students participated in the featured football match and crossed, volleying and striking their way through a friendly competition in order to claim victory in the world game.
Congratulations to the winning school, Glenala State High School, who defeated the Australian International Islamic College three to one, to be crowned the inaugural champions.
