Operation Wake Up is approaching its third and final month of operation.
Phase one of the operation (November/December 2018) saw the following stats recorded across South Brisbane District.
These stats were taken from the eight operations across the district which involved 173 officers and 1073 extra operational police hours on our roads.

South Brisbane Police have been pleased to see a decrease in traffic crashes causing injury within the district since the operation commenced in November.
The operation also aims at putting a strong policing presence in area’s where crimes have been occurring, this has resulted in a steady drop in crime compared to the same time over previous years.
Phase one also included education programs in schools aimed at stopping young drivers from being the next fatality statistic.
