Police from Morningside Station in conjunction with Morningside Neighbourhood Watch recently attended a community trivia night to support and assist our returned veterans in the community who have served Australia in our armed forces.
The evening was hosted by the Australian American Association and assisted in raising funds for the Veterans Care Association (VCA). The VCA is an Australian organisation run by Chaplin Gary Stone to support returning veterans and their families to overcome Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other challenges in returning to civilian life.
The night was well attended and represented by multiple organisations, and drew a large crowd in support of this important issue. This community event was a success and police are proud to assist and support the VCA within our community of South Brisbane District.
