The South Brisbane District welcomes three new police liaison officers (PLOs) as part of its diverse team servicing the area.
Nasra Aden, Ricky Lashand and Yen Nguyen will be working together to represent their respective Somali, Indian and Vietnamese communities in already one of the most multicultural regions in Queensland.
The new recruits will be responsible for: developing trust and understanding between members of the Queensland Police Service (QPS) and the community; liaising with community leaders, businesses and the public; and assisting the QPS to provide timely advice on customs, traditions and protocols.
