Officers from across the South Brisbane Police District had the chance to present and speak to Students from Milpera State High School during the annual futures day program on Friday, November 8.
Futures day brings together employers and services from across the State to the iconic school to engage one-on-one with students and guide them to make informed decisions once they graduate.
Throughout the day, Senior Police Liaison Officers Loc Tran, Agustino Lako and police liaison officers Ricky Lashand and Jeong Bae spoke about the role of police, the different departments and units within the Service and opportunities for those seeking a diverse and rewarding career.
Milpera State School’s Adopt-a-Cop Sergeant Jim Bellos also spoke to the students about the importance of getting building integrity and being involved in community work.
