Queensland Police representatives were honoured to be invited to celebrate with over 500 guests at the Chinese New Year Celebration Reception on Thursday, January 15 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The event also included representatives from all three levels of government, local businesses and interstate agencies.
The program featured many speeches and an array of traditional Chinese performances, music and cuisine courtesy of the hosts – the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Brisbane.
Acting Inspector Peter Bushell from South Brisbane District said it was a lovely way for staff members and officers to continue building their relationships within the community.
“This year’s gathering truly showcases the wonderful relationship between the Service and members of the local Chinese community,” Acting Inspector Peter Bushell said.
