Inala community comes together at D.J. Sherrington Park

Inala Youth Week culminated in a massive community celebration at D.J. Sherrington Park on Friday, April 13. The event was supported by Brisbane City Council, The Hub Neighbourhood Centre Inala, Inala Youth Service, The Inala PCYC and Headspace. There were a number of community stalls, awesome rides, free food and musical performances throughout the day keeping attendees of all ages and backgrounds well entertained.
As part of the occasion, Kick Start Inala was officially launched. This initiative is a community driven school-based football program, which provides a free structured course for five local primary schools in Inala.
Police Liaison Officers Hamza Shale and I, alongside our senior colleagues: Officers Mary Kenyi, Doug Peachey and Aleni Ta’alolo, had the privilege of lending a helping hand by providing home and safety information through the Police Mobile Community Office. The team also had the pleasure to mingle with Brisbane Broncos legend Petero Civoniceva.
