Harmony Day celebrations continued across the South Brisbane District with a special assembly at Sunnybank State Primary School.
Dignitaries from Queensland Police Service, Local Councillor Kim Marx, The Hon. Graham Perrett MP and the wider community had the opportunity to enjoy several stunning displays of cultural dancing, performances and songs followed by a parade of traditional dresses by students from across all grades.
Sergeant Jim Bellos from the Upper Mount Gravatt Cross Cultural Liaison Unit had the opportunity to introduce a number of Police Liaison Officers from a range of cultural backgrounds to all those in attendance. In turn, the PLO’s thanked everyone for being part of this auspicious occasion and wished them all a happy Harmony Day.
Thanks to all the teachers, parents and performers in making this day possible! And to all the students at Sunnybank State Primary School, thank you for making this year’s Harmony Day memorable.
