On Wednesday, August 26, officers from Carina Police Station were at an address in Carina for an unrelated matter when they allegedly discovered a quantity of cannabis, drug utensils and hydroponic equipment.
Upon arrival at the residence for the unrelated matter, police noted a shed at the rear of the property with indicators that it was being used for illicit purposes.
As a result, police executed a search warrant where it will be alleged they located a hydroponics set up.
Officers dismantled this set up and removed 23 cannabis plants and further seized 200 grams of cannabis that had allegedly been prepared for sale, along with assorted hydroponic equipment and drug utensils.
A 33-year-old Carina man was charged with drug related offences and issued with a Notice to Appear in the Wynnum Magistrates Court on November 23.
