Do you lock your cars and house?

Police from Upper Mount Gravatt Crime Prevention Unit want to remind and urge the community to get into the habit of locking cars, doors and windows while at home. It is important to always double check that all doors and windows are locked before going to bed as well.
Here are some simple tips to help minimise the chance of yourself, your family or friends becoming the next victim of a break-in.

Remove your bags, car keys, wallet, iPads, phones, laptop computers and any valuable items from locations where people can see them through outside windows and doors and in the car.
Always lock your garage doors. If you have a roller door, go outside and try to lift the garage door up. If you can, please contact your garage door manufacturer to rectify the issue.
