Police are issuing a timely reminder to residents in the Yeronga area after a number of people have reported entry to their vehicles and items stolen.
Police were pleased to note that the majority of the targeted vehicles were secured, however valuable items remained in sight within the vehicles making them an attractive target for opportunistic thieves.
Police are investigating a number of these offences which were reported to occur between September 23 and September 24 during the evening hours.
The majority of these vehicles were entered by smashing a window and property such as bank cards, wallets, coins, cash and number plates stolen.
These incidents occurred in the following streets in Yeronga:
Yeronga Street
Nelson Street
Stevens Street
Overdean Street
Cook Street
Grosvenor Street
Shottery Street
