Crime alert for Upper Mount Gravatt Division

In the last seven days, police are experiencing an increase in break and enter offences in the Eight Mile Plains, Runcorn, Robertson, Upper Mount Gravatt, Coopers Plains and Macgregor.
Offender(s) have damaged door locks, attacked the door frame and smashed a glass window to gain the entry to the house.
Some breaks occurred while residents were home asleep. Some occurred while residents were out for a short time in a board daylight.
Offender(s) targeted handbags, wallets, jewelleries, laptops and anything easy to conceal in person or a bag. Offender(s) also target vehicles.
One vehicle was stolen during a burglary but it was later located in Moorooka. Another blue Mazda 3 bearing Queensland registration plates, 619 SOE is still outstanding.
Police urge residents to be vigilant about their home and vehicle security. Simple security measures like:

Lock your doors using keys (do not leave you keys on your lock)
Make sure your garage door is fully closed before
