South Brisbane Police District was a proud finalist in the Queensland Multicultural Awards 2018 for The Connected Women program.
The Connected Women Program delivers crime prevention, leadership, self-esteem and violence prevention awareness designed specifically for young and/or newly arrived Islamic women.
The program aims to empower participants to feel and be safer, encourages and educates participants about reporting pathways, raises awareness of personal and cyber safety strategies, increases knowledge of services available from Queensland Police Service and referral networks.
