Community comes together for Neighbour Day

The Camp Hill Bowls Club was the place to be over the weekend for the first African and Camp Hill Community Festival. This event was organised as part of Neighbour Day festivities across the nation.
People from all walks of life spent the day enjoying great music, story telling sessions, craft stalls and exhibitions, cultural dance performances, fashion shows, and tasty local cuisine.
Representatives from the Queensland Police Service South Brisbane District used this opportunity to educate the community on home and personal safety. Many thanks to everyone who popped in to say hello!
A special thanks to all the organisers (Queensland African Communities Council, The Queensland State Government and the Camp Hills Bowls Club) for their hard work behind the scenes.
It’s clear from the day that Camp Hill has certainly become an even more neighbourly place to be!
