On Saturday, February 15, Moorooka Police partnered up with the South Brisbane District Crime Prevention Unit and hosted a Coffee with a Cop event at Botanicafe, Moorooka.

Residents took the chance meeting and chatting to their local police and the officer in charge of Moorooka Police Station, Senior Sergeant Tony Collins.
Some were also excited to speak to our Police Liaison officers (PLOs) in their mother tongue.

Currently we have sixteen PLOs working in the South Brisbane District Crime Prevention Unit.
We have officers working from Upper Mount Gravatt, Inala and Wynnum Station.
These officers speak a number of languages including Korean, Mandarin, Chinese, Cantonese, Arabic, Punjabi, Swahili, Bravanese, Somali and Vietnamese.
