Closure of Operation Papa Hierarchy – drug trafficking network, South Brisbane and the Bayside

Five people have been charged with drug trafficking as part of Operation Papa Hierarchy a protracted operation targeting organised illicit drug distribution, particularly methylamphetamine and cocaine in Brisbane’s southside and bayside suburbs.
The 18-month joint operation involved detectives from Cleveland Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) and State Crime Command’s Organised Crime Group.
Early yesterday (June 5) detectives executed five search warrants at addresses in Morningside, Fortitude Valley, Alexander Hills and Birkdale.
Police will allege that during the searches dangerous drugs including cocaine, methylamphetamine, heroin and cannabis were located along with approximately $300,000.00 in cash, eight vehicles with a value of approximately $227,000.00, phones, jewellery and gun cases.
A 32-year-old man from Morningside was charged with four counts of trafficking in dangerous drugs, three counts of possession dangerous drugs and one count of possessing property obtained from trafficking in dangerous drugs.
