Police arrested a 32-year-old Mansfield man on Monday, August 17 on Laconia Street, Mansfield.
Police allege the man was pointing replica weapons at passing vehicles on Broadwater Road, Mansfield.
Officers allegedly found and seized four replica weapons, and no one was physically injured as a result.
The man was later transported to Upper Mount Gravatt Police Station where he was charged with one count of going armed so as to cause fear, one count of common assault and two counts of serious assault police officer whilst pretending / is armed with a weapon.
Police urge members of the public to be aware of the seriousness of carrying and using replica or toy firearms in public spaces.
The man is due to reappear at Brisbane Magistrates Court on September 8.
