The Queensland Police Service has partnered with the Australian Red Cross Blood Service to save 15,500 lives by June 2020 through blood donation.
Red 25 is the Australian Red Cross Blood Service’s group donation program. Together, their members aim to give at least 25 per cent of the country’s blood donations.

Officers from Carina Police Station took it upon themselves last week, to increase the chances of the Australian Red Cross achieving their goal of 5167 donations by June 2020.
After months of planning, a large contingent of officers travelled to the Australian Red Cross Blood Service at Springwood to donate blood as part of this wonderful program.
Many of the offices had not previously donated blood and anxiety levels rose as push came to shove and the donations commenced.
At the end of our session though, there was a strong sense of pride in the officers that donated blood and plasma
