Building community relationships on and off the pitch

Recently, Senior Constable Chad McLeod from the QPS Dog Squad, took part in a friendly football match at the Logan Roos Football Club.
This game was significant as those playing come from a diverse range of backgrounds, including some outstanding players from the Inala and Acacia Ridge Somali communities.

Senior Constable McLeod said the players passion for the game was inspirational and he presented several young players with new football gear as a gesture of peace and goodwill.
“It was only fitting to present a band new set of goalkeeper gloves to some of the bets players I have seen in a long time,” Senior Constable McLeod said.
“Out involvement with this game, along with this small gesture, is a great chance for us to build better relationships with our community; and what better mechanism than through this wonderful community-based football club.”
