Overlooking the concert
Last night US superstar Taylor Swift performed in front of a 42,000+ strong crowd in one of the biggest concert events in Brisbane for 2018.
To ensure the enormous event was safe, a strong QPS presence was deployed to the venue to ensure patrons were able to enjoy the concert.
The police presence at the stadium required many months of planning with Sergeant Kirsten Atkin taking on the role of Principal Planner to ensure the operation took place smoothly and all the necessary resources were available.
Inspector Cecilia Vine was the Operations Commander for the event oversaw the deployment of 98 officers, including traffic personnel, to the Gabba grounds and was responsible for the entire QPS presence at the event.
