Attempted robbery, Upper Mt Gravatt

Police have charged four juveniles following an incident in a shopping centre car park on Kessels Road in Upper Mt Gravatt yesterday afternoon.
It is alleged around 4.45pm four teenage girls approached a woman and her toddler and demanded the woman’s car keys and made threats of harm. The woman yelled for help and the girls fled when people came to the woman’s aid.
Police located the girls a short time later and charged a 13-year-old girl with stealing, attempted robbery and possessing tainted property.
Three girls aged 13, 14 and 15 were each charged with attempted robbery and possessing tainted property.
The four girls will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
