Assault charge, bus driver Carindale

Detectives have charged a man following investigations into the alleged assault of a bus driver at Carindale on July 14.
At about 10am at the Carindale busway, it will be alleged three men and a boy entered a bus operated by a Redlands based company.
It will further be alleged three of the men were unable to pay for their fare and were denied entry to the bus. It will be further alleged one of the men began swearing, resulting in the bus driver asking all four men to leave the bus.
As the four exited, it will be alleged a man punched the driver in the face causing a cut to his lip.
All four men then left the busway through a nearby shopping centre.
A 17-year-old Alexandra Hills man has been charged with one count of assault occasioning bodily harm and is due to appear in the Cleveland Magistrates Court tomorrow.
