Detectives are investigating the overnight assault and robbery of a man in South Brisbane.
At about 9.50pm, the man was walking through Musgrave Park when he was assaulted by a group of teenagers, who struck him in the face with an unknown implement, before stealing his camera.
The 39-year-old man fled the scene and called emergency services.
He was subsequently transported to the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital for treatment of a serious injury to his eye.
Anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area is urged to contact police.
