Dutton Park station construction will continue through June and July 2026, bringing planned track closures, overnight works and intermittent lane closures around the rail corridor.
Standard construction activities are scheduled between 6:30am and 6:30pm from Monday to Saturday, subject to weather and construction conditions.
At the end of Kent Street, crews will continue reinstating the former laydown area and maintaining nearby landscaping. Inside the rail corridor, work between Ensign Avenue and the Southern Tunnel Portal will include overhead electrical structures, signalling equipment, cable routes and drainage.
Earthworks, drainage, minor landscaping and construction of a rail maintenance access road will also continue at Fenton Street. Work on the access road has begun and is scheduled during daytime hours from Monday to Friday, as well as on weekends when tracks are closed.
Overnight Works Near Kent Street and Annerley Road
Equipment and materials may be delivered to Kent Street and Annerley Road between 6:30pm and 6:30am throughout June and July. Concrete deliveries and pours are also scheduled during those hours.
Several out-of-hours work periods are planned within the rail corridor. These run from 2am on Saturday, 13 June, to 3am on Monday, 15 June; from midnight on Saturday, 20 June, to 3am on Monday, 22 June; and from 2am on Saturday, 27 June, to 10pm on Sunday, 19 July.
During the listed periods, crews are scheduled to install foundations and masts for overhead electrical infrastructure. Excavation, earthworks and drainage will also take place between the Wilkins Street pedestrian overpass and the Southern Tunnel Portal.
Other activities include construction of the Fenton Street maintenance access road, installation of signalling equipment, cable routes and pits near Kent Street, Fenton Street and Ensign Avenue, and excavation to support signalling work and undertrack crossings. Track work and maintenance are also planned.
Dutton Park Station Travel Impacts
Intermittent temporary lane closures are expected on Fenton Street and Ensign Avenue to allow access to the rail corridor. Traffic management will be in place for increased vehicle movements, and motorists have been advised to follow signs and allow additional travel time.
The works may generate noise, vibration and dust from machinery such as concrete trucks, excavators, piling rigs, cranes and vacuum trucks. Mobile lighting towers may also operate in night work areas.
Track closures and travel changes are scheduled on the Beenleigh and Gold Coast lines from Saturday, 27 June, to Sunday, 19 July 2026 while works proceed across multiple rail projects.
